CASA is Kappa Alpha Theta's national philanthropy. Court Appointed Special Advocates is an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of abused and neglected children all over our country. CASA volunteers are appointed to give voices to children in the legal system who don't have anyone to speak for them. Since it is a completely volunteer based program, organizations like Kappa Alpha Theta raise funds for legal fees and other fees associated in making children's lives better. You can find out about CASA's national mission at their website by clicking here.
Each year, Theta Iota hosts numerous events on campus to raise money for CASA. Our signature event, Quesadillas for CASA, is a yearly event where we sell quesadillas to the student body. This event has been a great way for us to connect with our fellow students and share the love for CASA.
In the past, we have also held a Theta Dodgeball tournament, where various groups on campus can form teams and battle it out for first place, as well as KAT at BAT, where Fraternities and other campus organizations register teams to compete in a Wiffle Ball Tournament.
The Theta Foundation provides scholarships to sisters around the world. The mission is: To secure and manage resources for the educational, leadership, and philanthropic programs of the Fraternity and for the scholastic, professional, and service pursuits of its members to help them reach their fullest potential and make a difference in the world.
